The Blacksox may have 2 future stars in the big leagues in the very near future.
Chase Anderson, former WF Rider star, is having a strong season for the Arizona Diamondbacks AA affiliate, the Mobile BayBears. Anderson has yet to lose a game this season, while sporting an amazing 2.63 ERA. He is also averaging over a strikeout per inning.
Anderson was a 9th round pick in 2009, out of the University of Oklahoma.
Victor Black, a 1st round pick in '09, is having a dominant season for the Altoona Curve. Altoona is the Pittsburgh Pirates AA affiliate. Black has already made 11 appearances, posting a 2.13 ERA and averaging over a strikeout per inning.
The Blacksox Nation is extremely proud of these outstanding young men. We wish these guys continued success and to stay healthy.
Personally, I'm looking forward to buying a DBacks and Pirates jersey in the very near future.
